Description
Chevalier is one of only a few estates in Pessac-Léognan to be classified for both red and white. The estate is run by the effervescent Olivier Bernard on behalf of the wider family. Olivier’s right hand is Remi Edange who closely manages the technical side which has been improving steadily since 1995. More recently the services of Stephane Derenoncourt have been hired, further spiking quality for the better. The cellar is equipped with concrete eggs for ageing the old vine parcels, along with the more traditional oak barrels. All the wines are now bottled with Diam corks, red as well as white. More famous for its white the past 10 vintages have been particularly successful for its red wine with a string of excellent wines showing great potential.
