Description
Polish Hill Riesling is crafted from Grosset’s eight-hectare estate-owned Certified Organic and Biodynamic vineyard in the Clare Valley. The gently sloping site, chosen and planted by Grosset in 1996, consists of silt and shallow shales over a thin crust of clay and gravel, resting on a bed of ancient blue slate, approximately 500 million years old. The challenging rocky soil leads to nutrient scarcity for the vines, resulting in small bunches and berries that contribute to the heightened intensity of the fruit.
